Sauna bathing and dementia risk: cohort study

Prospective cohort study of 2,315 Finnish men (median 20.7-year follow-up) finding regular sauna bathing associated with significantly lower dementia risk.

  • 4-7 sauna sessions/week: HR 0.39 for dementia
  • 2-3 sessions/week: HR 0.78

Implications
